Social media is a big part of how people network these days – and Lone-Star Roof Systems is moving forward with our networking too. We are on Pinterest!
For those who aren’t yet aware of Pinterest, it is a membership-based site much like Facebook or Twitter, but Pinterest is all about pictures! We pin pictures of things we find interesting to “boards” like online bulletin boards, with a link to where we found the picture and short description on what we like so much about it. This creates a quick way to browse the ideas on any member’s profile and repin things you enjoy in an organized fashion with just a click!
It may sound strange for a roofing company to develop an account on a site based almost solely on pictures, but if you look at our page here, you will see that we have pinned several pictures already that are roof-related. There are great examples of shingle, tile, metal, and other types of roofing materials displayed on our boards. Many of these pictures are of roofs we found that seemed exceedingly cool, but several of our own projects are featured as well. We also have a few other “boards” that we have pinned to, and will continue pinning to in the future, such as our “Made in America” board which features items that are made and sold in the United States.
For those of you who are more tech-savvy, keep in mind that our Pinterest page is under development and will only continue to get more awesome in the coming months. If you have an idea for a board that you would like to see on our Pinterest page, give us a shout-out! We love to hear from our fans about how we are doing on the web.
