Office Assistant
College Station
Support daily office operations and help ensure a smooth experience for both customers and internal teams.
About The Role
Lone-Star Roof Systems is looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Office Assistant to support operations at our College Station office. This role is less about answering phones and more about keeping our internal systems accurate, our projects organized, and our digital presence active.
You'll work closely with management, the sales team, and project coordinators — touching everything from CRM data and proposal documentation to social media content and drone footage. If you're someone who thrives behind the scenes, stays organized under pressure, and picks up new tools quickly, this role is a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update records across our CRM platform — ensuring customer information, project status, and follow-up tasks are accurate and current
- Organize and manage files and documentation in our shared drive and cloud storage systems
- Support the sales team by preparing and formatting proposals using our measurement and proposal software
- Register warranties for completed projects, including uploading of documents to job files and emailing copies to clients
- Assist in management of job photos across company platforms and shared drives — both from field teams and from drone captures
- Operate a drone on job sites and around completed projects to capture aerial footage and photography for marketing and documentation purposes
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content — including writing captions, selecting photos and video clips, and coordinating posts across platforms
- Maintain and update shared company spreadsheets and reports, keeping data clean and organized
- Support management with internal projects, research, reporting, and other operational tasks as needed
Required
- Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail — you'll be managing a lot of moving pieces across multiple systems
- Self-directed and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities without close supervision
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritize effectively — you treat downtime as an opportunity to get ahead, not check out
- Tech-proficient and a quick learner — comfortable picking up and consistently using multiple apps and platforms on both laptop and mobile, including CRM software, proposal tools, photo management apps, and shared document and spreadsheet systems
- Experience with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and a basic sense for what makes engaging content in a trade or construction context
- Proactive and self-motivated — when a task is done, you communicate that and look for what's next rather than waiting to be asked; during slower periods you take initiative to work through backlogged projects, propose new systems or process improvements, or ask management for additional assignments
- Ability to pass drug tests, as well as criminal and motor vehicle background checks
- Valid driver's license, must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred
- 1–2 years of office, operations, or administrative experience
- Prior experience in roofing, construction, or a trade industry
- FAA Part 107 drone certification and prior drone flying experience
Compensation & Benefits
- $14 - $16 per hour based on experience
- Monday - Friday, 8 hour day shift
- Retirement Plan, including employer matching contributions
- Health Insurance, partially covered for employee
- Dental and Vision Insurance
- 10 days of paid holidays
- Paid time off, beginning at 10 days per year
