About The Role

Lone-Star Roof Systems is seeking a Commercial Roofing Sales Consultant to continue to grow our commercial client base across Texas. In this role, you'll work with building owners, property managers, general contractors, and facility teams to assess, maintain, and replace commercial roofing systems.

This is a relationship-driven sales role focused on positioning Lone-Star as the trusted partner for roofing solutions on commercial properties by providing long-term solutions — not just one-time transactions. Much of our business comes from referrals and repeat clients, so trust, professionalism, and consistency are key. This position is well-suited for someone with commercial construction sales experience who can operate independently, manage complex deals, and deliver a consultative sales experience from first contact to signed contract.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough site assessments and roof inspections, documenting conditions with photos using our mobile field tools
  • Identify issues, present tailored roofing solutions and prepare detailed, professional proposals using our estimating and proposal software
  • Manage client relationships and deal progress from initial contact through contract execution
  • Prospect and develop a pipeline of commercial roofing opportunities through networking, referrals, and direct outreach
  • Maintain an organized, up-to-date pipeline in our CRM platform — logging calls, meetings, site visits, and next steps
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure project success
  • Management of projects through completion and final payment
  • Keep all project records current across company systems, including job photos, signed documents, shared spreadsheets, and internal files
  • Stay informed on commercial roofing products, systems, and market trends to effectively advise clients

Required

  • Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops, both sloped and flat
  • Highly self-directed with strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple opportunities at various stages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be outgoing and willing to talk with potential clients
  • Tech-proficient and adaptable — able to learn and consistently use multiple platforms and apps on laptop and mobile, including CRM software, mobile inspection and photo tools, proposal platforms, and shared document and spreadsheet systems
  • Ability to pass drug tests, as well as criminal and motor vehicle background checks
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; comfort traveling throughout your assigned territory

Preferred

  • 3+ years B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial roofing, construction, or a related trade industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, metal, modified bitumen, etc.)
  • Established network of commercial contacts — property managers, GCs, facility directors, or building owners — is a significant advantage
