About The Role
Lone-Star Roof Systems is hiring motivated, outgoing individuals to join our residential sales team as Canvassers. This is a ground-level sales role where you'll be the first point of contact for homeowners — introducing them to our services, performing roof inspections, and identifying roofing needs.
This role is focused on starting conversations and building rapport, not high-pressure sales. If you're comfortable talking to people, have a competitive drive, and want to earn based on your effort, this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of the roofing industry.
Responsibilities
- Canvass residential neighborhoods — particularly after storm events — to identify homes with potential roofing damage or needs
- Engage homeowners in friendly, informative conversations about Lone-Star Roof Systems' services
- Qualify leads by performing and documenting inspections using mobile platformsÂ
- Represent the Lone-Star brand with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Track your activity and report leads through our team's sales tools
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handoffs and follow-through
Required
- Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops, both sloped and flat
- Strong communication skills and a naturally friendly, confident personality
- Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking neighborhoods
- Reliable transportation to reach assigned canvassing areas
- Tech-proficient and adaptable — able to learn and consistently use multiple platforms and apps on laptop and mobile, including CRM software, mobile inspection and photo tools, proposal platforms, and shared document and spreadsheet systems
- Ability to pass drug tests, as well as criminal and motor vehicle background checks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred
- Prior sales, canvassing, or customer-facing experience
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
